I can't believe I'm missing wedding-talk! I adore weddings.
What have all you crazy kids been up to?
Oh, I love wedding, too!
Nothing much, Jag. Well, I don't know about these folk...
Hey JAG!
What have we been up to? Well, nearly two thousand posts in a week - what do you think we've been up to? Obviously not much.
And that's why I'm so fond of all of you.
Ze feelink iz muchal!
I tried going to sleep, didn't happen. I think Tazzy passed his insomnia over.
A wedding date may not be that far off, but with my whole life pretty much having been turned upside down in the last two months, who knows.
Awww, Tink.
I have to say, I can't WAIT until you set a date and start planning. I'll have to live vicariously through you! I have two weddings to go to in July...I'm so excited.
Not only was my headache evidently contagious, (Polly), but it seems the insomnia is rolling through the thread too.
Well, Tink, I'm here for a little while too.

awww, jag, of course, as my bitch you will have to listen to the details!
Actually, since we already had a date and went pretty far before i canceled, not much will have to be done when I set a new one. I will probably pick a date that is only a few months in advance (as long as the place i decide on is available). If I set a long date, then I'll get bored and probably cancel again. I'm finicky like that.

This is for a real special guy in this thread. He knows who he is.
hmmm, inquiring minds want to know...
Jaily - no, everyone knows he's gay
DG - for his cowboy fantasy
hmmmmmm
Tink, it's like jumping into a pool - you just gotta close your eyes and take the plunge.
yeah, but see, I don't swim, so I can skip that one!
I'm not scared of actually being married. All it is is what I am now, just with a legal document. I just get so OCD when planning something, and I am just not looking forward to that again.
I know what you mean, Tink. When D2'sJ2 and I were getting ready for our "commitment ceremony" (How 90's) I wasn't all that nervous about the commitment part, but the ceremony part had me nearly paralyzed. But we did manage to pull it all together (much thanks to a very dear friend of D2'sJ2, who has subsequently become a dear friend to me as well) and the actual event turned out to be quite a lot of fun. But the planning of it was not.
Buzz's older sister finally is settling down and is getting married next June. But she has become the typical bridezilla. She got engaged on christmas eve, and by new years had half the wedding booked. But she wouldn't decide anything unless she e-mailed or called us ALL! I wanted to shoot her.
At my step father's wake, she kept cornering me and telling me about her favors, and dress color, etc. How I remained polite to her I will never know. I went up to Buzz and threatened to hit her, lol.
But she is planning this huge 30k wedding. It is sickening. She is mid 30's, he's turning 40. They are putting themselves into debt for this damn thing. INSANE!!
We had set a date for the ceremony nearly a year in advance. I designed the invitations and sent them out in a timely manner. Then we did basically nothing until 5 days before the event, and threw it all together in one night. We kept everything simple and the most expensive items were the renting of the tuxes and the champagne, which was basically unlimited and flowed all evening.
we will definitely have an open bar!!! That is a requirement, lol!
I am actually really doing the Wedding I want. It will be a Sunday brunch buffet. If you know me at all, it is that I love my eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. I could live on breakfast food. So therefore, that's what I want on my damn wedding day, lol. Omlete stations, all that jazz. As well as a few carving stations & pastas and stuff for those that don't share my passion!
I just want it comfortable and relaxing. Eat as much as you want, when you want. Drink, Dance, just enjoy.
Which is how it should be.
And I'm with you on the choice of food, too, Tink. Funny thing is I don't like that type of food in the morning, it's too heavy for me. But mid-afternoon into evening it's great.
Well, the headache is completely gone now, not even a trace left. I'm going to go watch a little T.V. and hopefully nod off.
Hope you get some sleep soon too.
See ya tomorrow!
night night D2!

I think Tazzy needs to show me a picture. And I think he knows which one.
HMMM.
What is HatBoy on about?
Anyway, the stickler in me has to do this:
"Goodnight mi amigos/amigas."
It should be "MIS amigos," since it's plural. Also, in Spanish, when you're addressing both genders, the masculine would suffice. Thus, including "amigas" is redundant.
"tazzy I still want to go dancing with you!"
Uh, not 'til I get mine. You still owe me a dance, Tink. And I'm pretty sure I'm a better dancer than... what's-his-face.
