I DO know my spirits, it's true
whooooOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOooooooo
*spirits*
i'm watching guys and dolls. and hoping that the boy gets on before he has to go to work, but i really doubt it at this point. oh well, maybe i'll talk to him tomorrow.
Marlon Brando was just so wrong for that movie.
Baby is doing good - thanks for asking, Rath! I think he/she has taken up bowling in there. All I feel is something rolling to one side and then back again. This heat is killing me though. I don't know how my sister-in-law did it - all her kids were born in August.
I think I found some good stuff for the lounge. I have a couple of artsy martini shots, a sign with Ted Williams telling us to drink more Moxie, and some Hot Nuts dancing. (peanuts, you pervs) My favorite is the Lost Weekend movie poster we'll put over the bar. I love that my husband is as twisted as I am.
Classic chico. Are all your posters best picture winners?
Never seen GUYS & DOLLS. However, I did rent the double-disc DVD, but I only watched the "Making of..." featurette(s). The movie doesn't interest me, but I do have a keen interest in filmmaking. Maybe someday.
Ok my children of lesser gods,
I must bid you all goodnight!
i like it. it's entertaining me at the moment.
It's early, taz!! Come back!!
chico, I feel ya. I have friends who were pregnant in the summer, and I always feel bad when I see women who are pregnant in the hot weather.
No, because I needed to include Duck Soup in there.
It should be very cool when finished. I want to paint the walls red, but that will have to wait until it gets a little cooler outside. The furniture is arriving Thursday, just in time for a visit from my parents next week.
My sister was pregnant during the summer. She gave birth in early September. Yeah, it was hell for her... the delivery, too. Forty-five hours of labor! (Not to discourage you or anything.)
Thanks, SM2. Oh well, guess I should have thought of that back in February. I'm in it for the long haul now.
Chico, here's what you say when you go to the hospital:
"My name is _____, I want a private room and an epidural. NOW!"
Not everyone has top-flight medical insurance, D.
Why not a natural birth? That's what I'd do... if I were a woman... and wanted children.... biologically.
I'm sure, Stagey.
I'm actually doing natural in a birth center. The c-section rate around here is creeping up on 40% and I don't want to take the chance if I don't have to. Doctors are so worried about litigation (not that I blame them) that it seems to be used if anything deviates from the textbook birth and not just as a last resort.
Plus I have horrible reactions to most drugs and I figure labor will be bad enough on its own that I don't need side effects complicating things.
I would too.
Easy for us to say, though.
Not me. I hate pain in any form. Give me the drugs.
Rath, don't hit me.
Okay.
Fine, I will. *smacks Deet upside the head*
OW.
*calls lawyer*
Drugs all the way for me when I pop out the spawn! I have no tolerance for pointless pain that can be avoided!
But with saying that, i give SOOO much credit to those who can endure the natural childbirth, I just don't have the self control!
Stagey, how much money do you have? A rough estimate is all my lawyer needs. For the moment.
