I've been having weird phone conversations. I had the awkward, we should just be friends after two dates conversation, and then I had my best friend yell at me because I didn't pursue it. I love her to death. But, I hope she figures out that SOME OF THE TIME, I know what I'm doing.

I really don't need to be dating anyone. I feel weird about the whole thing. The guy flirted with me MONTHS before I did anything about it. Because, I couldn't believe that anyone would want to flirt with ME. If I can't fathom him even flirting with me who am I going to handle a relationship. It sounds like I'm setting myself up for a big tub of paranoia and unhappiness for both of us. And plus, I need male friends. Right now, I have like. . one.

Soapy says it was a mutual decision, and in that case the situation changed from what I thought initially. If the decision was mutual, then yes, it is a very mature reaction. If he had been dumped outright, then I stand by my first response.
