No, it happened very quickly. I had a feeling something was going to happen. When I was getting on the train two of them were getting out and pushed me out of the way (even though I was no where near the door). I was immediately suspicious (and checked my pockets). Then just before the doors closed, the third one jumped in, smacked the "victim" and grabbed his bag and IPod. The bag got caught and the thief dropped it, but made off with the IPod. The doors closed and the train pulled out. The poor guy was in shock, as were most everyone else in the car. Meanwhile the three guys on the platform were all laughing.

I was already annoyed from being pushed, so I got off at the next stop, called the police and made a report.
