When I try and sing high, the only way I can hit the high notes is by forcibly holding my vocal cords together???
And yes, I am totally serious with this question.

really???? ha...no, I know that...I'm just kind of freaking out b/c I've been doing research on vocal nodes and I've basically got all the symptoms....so I'm not too happy right now.
Hugs CE Get thee to a doctor pronto and have that checked out
sorry to scare you, but I would NEVER try and stretch your voice. If you're not meant to sing high, forcing it out will NOT make it any better. Get checked for nodes RIGHT AWAY if you have a lot of symptoms, you don't want to completely lose your voice over this. Just be careful with your voice and don't oversing because it's not good to damage your voice over a couple of high notes.
Good luck... ~kangaroo

Also, don't freak out just because you have nodes. They are VERY curable and often leave no permanent damage. Trying to sing through them without help WILL, though.

Justin Timberlake just had surgery to remove vocal nodules (as they called them on the 5:00 news).
LOL Joshua... nodules.
