Is it just me?

Maybe I'm just weird, but I find myself attached to certain films due to the instrumental music playing in the background. Like one of the reasons I loved Titanic when it came out was because of the music. I know that's kinda weird, but I love instrumental music.

Heck, the instrumental music is the only reason to watch The Hours.

But sometimes I can hate a movie because of its score...personally, I HATE the score to Cold Mountain and I actually left the theatre mad about it.

How was Gaelic Storm in that film? I have not seen the film, but love the band!

While I don't share your love for the music in TITANIC, I completely agree with you about a film's score. It's my favorite music, and makes-up my largest CD collection.

What are some of the scores you guys like? I'm trying to build up my collection. One of my newest favorites is some of the stuff from Finding Neverland. Really pretty stuff.

I have a weird talent to recognize music from movies. Not the easy recognizable music, like from Titanic. But the opening music in the movie Liar Liar, for example..

I also fell in love with the score from The Hours.

I love the Garden State soundtrack...

So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space

I LOVE Jon Brion scores, but that's probably not exactly what you're looking for :0)

The Garden State soundtrack is great. That movie wouldn't have been the same without that music.

HAWAII
THE TROUBLE WITH ANGELS
THE MUMMY
MISSION TO MARS
THE FURY

yeah the Garden State soundtrack is fantastic...it really did like change my life....

but the score to the Lord of the Rings just made the movie so much more enjoyable than it already was.... i think that has to be my favorite movie score, other than classics like Gone With the Wind

Gaelic Storm was amazing in Titanic. I bought that cd Back to Titanic just for their music.

"All the while making faces like a baby platypus who forget to take some Beano before eating a chimichanga." FindingNamo in reference to Jessica Simpson's singing.

I adore the score to The Piano, it was my favorite sad music when I was a teenager.
