not 8 by 10? Because there was a little accident and now it's 8 1/2 by 11. I have an audition today, are they not going to give me the part because of this?
Ok seriously, I just need one person to respond! If you say yes, it's ok, than good. If you say no, then I'll try to trim it, lol.
I would say cut it, if you can. I was in a class about auditioning in which the teacher said it's one of his biggest pet peeves to have headshots that are larger than 8 x10 because they stick out of the stack. Seriously. I'm not just saying that to be mean.
ok. It has white edges around it so I can try to cut the white stuff. Thanks:)
But on the other hand - no one is NOT gonna cast you just because the edges of your headshot stick out of the stack (if they do, believe me, you don't want to work for them.) Those kinds of pet peeves, though valid, are not enough of a reason not to cast someone.

Not that beggars can afford to be choosers or anything.
nobiz---what level of theatre is this audition for? I ask because I would imagine most regional theatres and community theatres aren't going to care in the least.
But, if it makes you feel better, do crop it. No need to have any other worries on your mind than the task at hand! :)
Namo - I'm old and tired and I just won't work for assholes any more. I'ts my right as a human being. I'd rather live on rice and beans than work for someone who is crazy, bi-polar, alcoholic, or just plain mean-spirited (of which my last boss was possibly all of the above). I'm not a beggar and yes I DO have a right to choose who I will work for or with.
I demand respect now. I have always treated everyone around me with respect and I demand it in return. Sorry if you have a problem with that.
I love you, Namo, but I have to agree with supporting actors' feeling empowerment.
