I just watched David Shuster try to get a Republican strategist to acknowledge what everyone knows: she's a McCain drain, except for those who celebrate her inadquacies as strengths (the "base" -- they're base all right...)

Now that Noonan, Brooks, et al have weighed in ("a cancer on the Republican party..."), behind semi-closed doors everyone must be saying what many said at the outset: "What the f--k was he thinking?" Let's face it, if he had taken Romney, he might've sailed through the financial crisis week with a level headed demeanor, and the polls would indeed be far closer. I think she has certainly cost McCain the Independent vote, and in a 49-51/51-49 electorate, that's huge.

That's funny! This might be proof that she was sent to the GOP by the liberals to destroy their campaign, and it seems to be working.

That video below the picture makes me very uncomfortable. Even though John McCain said the word accidentally, it sounds dirtier than I ever heard it sound.

This is real. It was at a rally in Nevada yesterday. Other pictures of the rally show that she did not have the scarf on during the speech, but did have it on working the crowd later. My bet is some smart ass in the crowd gave it to her and then snapped a picture. She probably didn't have the presence of mind to connect the right party to the right animal on the spot.

To say she doesn't have the presence of mind is a given.
