It may be he will get more prison time than anyone thinks due to the judge being a dog lover.

I suggest Mr Vick view The Longest Yard before he goes away.

The thing is that there wouldn't be any judge that was pro dog fighting or pro being curle to animals. However, there is a jurry involved as well. It is not all up to the judge himself. And, if I am worng that there is no jurry and it is up for the judge to decide himself then as a judge you have to sentecne someone base on what they are charged for.

In other words, for all crimes there is a set number of years that they can get jail time for. Even if the judge hates the fact that he doesn't like dog fighting the judge cannot change the maximum nuber of years from five to let's say ten or more.

there is no jury, a plea eliminates the need for a jury, and the judge can sentence vick from anywhere from 1 year to 5 years of federal prison.
