Tonight we're seeing Julie Taymor's production of The Magic Flute at the Met. We're very excited.

We went to hear Taymor speak last week and show slides of George Tsypin's set. She made it very clear that although people will think she borrowed techniques from The Lion King (masks above faces, etc.), she actually used those techniques in her FIRST production of The Magic Flute at the opera house in Florence, years before The Lion King.

I could definately use a mojito. I am about ready to go crazy! So much to do so little time, once I hit 3 oclock though I am home free until Wednesday. I am doing too much this semester!!!!! How do you people survive without the Fall Breaks and Christmas breaks in the real world?! (Well you probably don't do so much that you run around like a chicken with its head cut off.)

A group of us (between 20 and 30) always meet at the Martini Bar in Wilton Manors and then go to dinner.

I forgot to tell everyone my plans. Quite a few of my friends and roomates are heading up to Detroit to visit someone who graduated last year, but I decided against going. I am just looking most forward to sitting around and doing nothing. I am not heading home until tomorrow evening because my cousin whom I haven't seen since January is coming up to visit. Then I am going to head home, and just relax. I am considering going down to Brown County (Part of state that is very hilly and covered with trees) to see all the changing leaves and catch up on old times with some friends.
