I agree with FF and think it would be fun to make up your own title. Anyway, people who seem to hate the titles: cool down. These are just for fun. MOST of us aren't taking these too seriously.

There are many people here who seem to post up a storm and then back off a little after acquiring Legend status.
Do we really want to give them incentive to post a couple thousand more times?
Maybe it's good the levels stop at 1000.
That's all I'm saying.

Oh, Rath, if we dropped the ranking system all together, what would become of the weekly "HEY! I'm A Legend" threads?
What else in the lives of some would allow them the attention and congratulations of others that can so easily be gained by those few words?

Posted: 12/29/04 at 9:16amWell, I have to say I agree with the spirit of the last two posts. Indeed I think that the ranking systems encourage people to be less "discerning" about their posts. While it builds web site hits, which is nice for the ad revenue, it frustrates the rest of the users who have to read the dreck. I don't know that we should be encouraging people to try to break the record of 0 - Legend status with lots of numanuma posts.

Posted: 12/29/04 at 9:24amMy point exactly, Orion. I never paid attention to my rankings at all until the LOVE ME CONGRATULATE ME I AM A LEGEND!!!! threads began and I glanced to the left to see that I was, indeed, a Legend. Then I was nothing more than embarrassed for having hit the Level of Too Little Life.

Posted: 12/29/04 at 10:24amI never noticed when my rank changed and I've never started a thread about it, that always seemed like an odd thing to do. Anyways Rath, don't worry about having too little a life... I'm way ahead of you there. I still think that once you hit a certain number, your rank ought to denote your insanity so other, more innocent posters will know what kind of a nutcase they're talking to.
