I know! I didn't want to say it, but I was definitely THINKING it. And a big, ol' curling iron! Or hot rollers! And "Love" make-up. Remember those Geraldine Chaplin ads for "Love cosmetics"? Could they have picked a homelier spokesperson?

That is the best picture of her ever taken. I'm sure it's doctored.

I have never forgiven her for starring as Lily Bart in the PBS production of THE HOUSE OF MIRTH. It was one of my top 5 novels of all time (as was LOLITA, btw!) and she ruined it! Not pretty and a terrible actress! (And Lily was supposed to be breathtakingly beautiful. That was one of the most important details of the character. Don't get me started!)

It's a good thing they stopped making that stuff in those bottles. Good lord, could they have come up with anything more phallic? They should have sold the right of use to Fabergé who could have packaged Brut better. (Remember the green plastic bottle and Joe Namath?)
