re: It's not a Tudor

At least he voluntarily checked in and didn't make a scene.

I may enter rehab as well so that I can be near him because he's so preeetttty.

voluntarily usually means "at publicists insistence"

Still, I hope he gets the help he needs. He has a wife and 1 (maybe 2?)little girls.

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers? He doesn't have a wife or children....

But this is good. Does anyone remember the Golden Globes when he won for Elvis? He looked completely hammered.
I mean, Denzel Washington? Gun to my head..of course.

re: It's not a Tudor

I didn't even know he had sunk into TV. That would start anyone drinking.

re: It's not a Tudor

Except that I think he's doing a good job as Henry VIII. I'm divided on him though. I loved him in movies like Bend it.. and Velvet Goldmine but Match Point wasn't that good.

But I hope he gets better. He really is pretty. And IRISH. The Irish have to be ok. We can't live without those accents.

Everyone should do what they're passionate about. So what if he does TV? He won a Globe for ELVIS.

I'd still screw him.

C_O, I was referring to series television.

And I'd still screw him, but I'd smack Captain_O first, tie him up and make him watch.

It's not like he's making a Tuesday night sitcom on ABC...

re: It's not a Tudor

What's wrong with series television?

Let me think. A steady job, usually a lot more cash than a regular 9-5 job, and usually a fan base that loves you.

For a lot of people, having a steady job is great. Look at all the unemployed actors. If I was an actor, I'd wanna do series television.

And the TUDOR show really isn't "series". It's ten episodes, or so I hear. I haven't watched it. Don't have HBO.

(And C_O is so 2005.)

The Tudors is great. I love it. You can watch the first two episodes online if you'd like. I don't think they're full episodes but still.

I'm sure it is.

I don't have time to download it.

re: It's not a Tudor

Foster--Turdors is Showtime's bid to finally be taken as seriously as HBO. I like it but it has definete probs but look at the awesome cast--it's not liek John should be embarassed (besides many of his biggest roles have been in tv since film doesn't seem to know what to do with him--Elvis which was MUCH less interestingly written and directed than Tudors, which is a 10 ep limited series anyway at this point, and the 6 part Gormenghast 5 or so years back)

re: It's not a Tudor

Yeah, you're right Anna. i don't know where I got thhat from. Must be the shrooms.

Anyway, his publicists attributed it to a "non stop succession on movies". Don't get me wrong, I hope he gets better, but he's an ACTOR. Isn't that his job? If I went to rehab b/c I worked too hard I'd have a room on permanent reserve.

re: It's not a Tudor

i was going to watch the tudors since it is only 10 episodes. and by watch, i mean download. but then i figured out what they were doing and realized that it was just going to be another sopranos, six feet under, queer as folk kinda show with a few episodes per season. dodged that bullet. whew!

re: It's not a Tudor

I've been watching The Tudors and was excited when I heard that this time period was being made into a mini-series. Just had to say that.

re: It's not a Tudor

I am not sure if it a mini series or if it will return next year

Normally a cable show is 12 episodes but I guess this is only 10 due to the costs

re: It's not a Tudor

That's ok tazber, complications with shrooms happen to the best of us.

I am all about the Tudors. 10 episodes is fine by me, as long as it's not anything like a Philippa Gregor novel.

re: It's not a Tudor

I heard it was only a ten episode miniseries.

I think I'm watching CATWOMAN. I dunno.. it's Halle, on AMC, and I haven't seen it yet. Halle plays a makeup artist... and by artist, I mean she draws ads for a beauty line.
