J R's is closed!

walked by today and the Theatre district JR's is closed.
Seems the whole half of block may soon be gone.
Anyone know what's happening?

It WAS a Theatre restaurant staple. just West of the back ot the Imperial.

and I hear now that Barrynore's will close

Barrymore's isn't closing just yet, but it is owned by The Shubert Orginization and odds are going that when the lease is up in late 2006, Shubert won't renew it.

You still have time with that one.

It would be helpful when starting a thread like this if you would say what city you ae refering too. I almost had a heart attack. I htought my favorite bar in Washington was closing.

Though not my favorite, still a staple on 17th Street for many, many years. Now that the Frat House and Badlands have morphed into different identities.
