I know many survivors. Great women, all.
My grandmother was a survivor for a LONG time before some other issues claimed her life. It's so beatable and your mother is already blessed and on the right path just having you there.

I have my annual mammo appointment tomorrow. It's the birthday present I give myself every year. (except I have it a couple of times a year...)
liotte, your avatar is an important reminder of awareness.
And, as beacon wrote in a thread earlier today - pink isn't a color...it's an ATTITUDE!

Pink was SO popular in the mid-80s. Anyone remember? Every man's button dress shirt was some shade of pink.
Of course, not long after, the earring in the wrong ear meant you were gay and pink went away.

The current thread title sounds like a weird book about Truman Capote and Kerouac or something.

I am sure that I had a pink Polo shirt in the 80s. I do like some the Pink brand shirts, but $250.00 is a little spendy for a dress shirt.
We saw the one man show Tru many years ago.

Of course that is a good thing, Addy... I never thought I looked good in pink... Until you came along...
Thomas Pink is one of my favorites... But rare purchases...

Posted: 4/13/05 at 11:23amI normally try to be good, and go for the skim. Which is self defeating if I'm having something yummy like a chocolate croissant with the coffee... But they ran out of skim today...

As with anything, milk included, when they take out the fat, in goes the sugar.
It's a complete trade-off, just really depends which (fat or sugar) you want to put in your body.
If the sugar is unrefined, I say it doesn't matter, but I would rather have the fat than the processed and filtered sugar.
Oh, yeah, Cookie, I LOVE Pink, but I can never seem to afford their clothing.

BWS - thoughtful words on sugar and fat.
My kids have already been hoodwinked, the oldest tells me that she can have more ice cream because it is low fat.
