Those look nice. I love flowers... didn't use to, but now I do.

My evening's been ok. Lots of sleeping and doing taxes. And dancing.

Caramel apples... drinks or real caramel apples? Did you get your chocolate fix?

Caramel apple martini. YUM! (except that licking the rim of the glass can get you into trouble if you're not careful)

And I am looking at the most BEAUTIFUL arrangement of flowers. Courtesy of one darling florist. Pink and purple and tied up with a pretty ribbon.

Great dinner. Special night. One of these days I'll stop eating!

Well, honey, I don't really think that stopping eating is really an option, eh?

I tried a caramel apple martini about a month ago, and it was odd. I guess I'll have to try another one.

For dinner I had a delicious chicken dish: chicken breast in a macademia nut coating cooked in a brie sauce. It was so tasty! Everyone at the table enjoyed a bite!

That sounds truly delicious. That's one of the things I don't mind spending money on... food. I love going to good restaurants for good food. (the other thing is theater)

I'd love to go shopping with you at lunch, but I doubt I would get there on time . I'm having a slow and boring Friday here, but as penance I do have to work tomorrow.

Does he (and your sister) like to entertain? My ex- has absolutely everything, and if he doesn't have it, he'll buy it. For his b-day I gave him these party plates from Pottery Barn. They have a "cut out" to hold your wine glass by the stem so you can walk around during a cocktail party with food on the plate and not worry about holding the wine glass. He loved it. He entertains quite a bit.

edit: I just "assumed" is was your sister's husband since you said brother-in-law. Assuming is never good...

The last party that I went to that had an open bar, I ended up behind the bar with my pants around my ankles. No one else was there. Just me.

(I used to work at the establishment, so I had been invited back to "guest" bartend)
