Best book, best movie and if you can believe this best BBC mini series 1978. If only I could get a copy of it. Imagine - better than the movie.

I remember that mini-series, and have searched high and low to try to get a copy. (My mom loves it more than anybody I know!). I will keep searching... I adored it.

I find English manor houses to be quite cozy.

Undi, I saw a little bit of that... great idea for a series.

ck, I wouldn't mind being in a Manor house right now. In the Cotswolds.

Ready.to.kill.someone.
First, coworker drama (how these people can claim to be so smart when they're so stupid is beyond me).
Then, cell phone drama (this is what I get for not making sure I missed $5 on my phone bill...it's shut off!).
Now, more agency drama as I just found out it might be another 6 weeks for my direct deposit to start as they had vendor problems and are switching.
Days like this call for Calgon.

Jacking the Daydreams...

The English Manor Hourse series was hysterical in terms of examining how 21st century mores can function in 19th century values... The piss ot behind the screen in the dining room, for example...
#4444

Jacking the Daydreams...

oh, wait. I'm confusing the the two different English Manor houses that PBS did. There was one that was "Jane Austen"-like where they had several eligible young bachelors and bachelorettes under the guidance of chaperones meet and greet. It was like a weird Victorian take on The Bachelor/Bachelorette

I warn you all, steer clear of Sprint. Far, far clear.

Undi: Still trying to find the show I was watching...

I find myself watching really bad TV when I've given up TV... Well, at least the bad TV was on PBS...
