Jean Seberg and Jean-Paul Belmondo were both so beautiful!

One of my favorite films.

SM2, did you watch it yet? You must tell me what you think.

While I love Breathless, my feeling about Jules and Jim is beyond love. In fact, Jules and Jim and Children of Paradise top my list of best movies of all time.

I hate to raise expectations...hype usually has an adverse effect on my enjoyment of things. But since I first saw these movies (almost 30 years ago, UGH!), nothing has come close to usurping their place in my heart.

I gotta say, I wasn't that crazy about it. I get how much of an influence it is and I do love the style, AND Belmondo IS hot, but there was just a little too much smoking and talking in the bedroom for me. I know, I get kicked out of the cinephile's club...trudges out...

Ah, so it is "guilt" not the threat of being "kicked out of the cinephile's club" that is at the heart of your statement. In other words, "It's YOU, not US!"

I was going to say something condescending to lildogs, since he was all over me like a cheap slut the other day for being ignorant about Run-DMC and for not being a connoisseur of all musical genres, and pretty much alluding that I am musically inferior to him... *catches breath* but I won't.
