Jeffery

Has anyone seen this movie? I just watched it this morning. It has Steven Weber in it (I love him) and it takes place in the early 90s. I thought it was a really good movie. There were some funny parts but also some serious parts. I really liked it.

YES! Along with "Trick," it's my favorite gay movie! Steven Webber and Patrick Stewart are wonderful in it!

I've seen the 1999 version of "The Shining" so many times that every time I see him in a movie, all I can think is "Danny, you damned little PUP!" lol!

re: Jeffery

Jeffrey is a lovely movie... a little bit dated these days, but deals with the still very relevant issue of sero-discordant relationships.

re: Jeffery

Oh yeah, totally. And, like I said, the issue of dealing with a sero-discortant relationship continues to be very relevant to this day. And it's an issue very close to me.

Hearing young guys talk at the bar, I heard one guy say "Oh, he's cute" and his friend says "Oh, yeah, stay away, he's got the 'bug'."

Still very much an issue...

If only for the chorus boy who is in CATS. Oh, look at that icon!
PEACE.

re: Jeffery

Are you kidding! I want to be HIM! He gets to be in CATS AND have Patrick Stewart as his lover. I'd be in heaven...

at the end of the movie in the credits, it said it was based on a play... is the play called "Jeffery"? do they still perform it anywhere?

re: Jeffery

It's a brilliant play, written by Paul Rudnick. Very clever, very ingenious. The gym scene at the beginning is so much better than in the movie.

Somebody tell her.

re: Jeffery

I didn't like the movie as much as I wanted to, but Patrick Stewart was fabulous; he stole every scene he was in.

I was very fortunate to play the role of Sterling (the Patrick Stewart role) in a production here in Chicago. What can I say?! I had all the best lines and the most fabulous costumes!
