I am trying out for a community theatre production of Jekyll and Hyde. I have never auditioned for anything outside of our high school musical. We have to prepare a ballad and an uptempo song. I was thinking about "This is the Moment" for my ballad since I have done that before. For my uptempo song I was thinking about "Take a Chance on Me" from Little Women because it shows range. I'm a tenor with a range from a low g (barely) and a high b flat (consistantly) any suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance.

um, for some reason, take a chance on me is great for the part vocally, but kinda poopy for the part acting wise.
You need to prove you can act both dark and and passionate. Im gonna think of some suggestions.... you range is very nice and I'd take advantage of showing it off, but dont focus solely on it. My first impression was the sing the end of "ALIVE" from J&H for your uptempo, (sing the optional high belt), and then pick a more calming ballad. ill letcha know what i think of... but again, thats just my opinion! :) do whatever u are more comfy with
