Jello shots and sake

I'm having a goodbye party for my friend and her boyfriend who are moving to Japan for a year to teach, and I wanna make red Jello shots. Since I've never made them before, can you use sake instead of vodka for them? Thanks.

There's no reason it shouldn't work as long as you alter the proportions. I googled and found a how-to that adjusts the amount of alcohol based on the proofs.
