I simply asked to look at his record. You cherry picked what "YOU FELT" was important.Ignoring all his accomplishments.You don't know how to debate, so stop trying to pretend you are a school teacher.No teacher is as dumb as you are.


So, just to prove Mikey's stupidity, here is a brief list of Biden's accomplishments before serving as VP. Mikey, I am NOW CHALLENGING YOU. Dispute each one. I never challenged you or anyone before. Go back a re=read my post. All I asked ROxy was to look at Joe's record before he became VP.

Foreign Policy Leader

After three decades of service on the Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee, Joe Biden was elected Chairman in January of 2006 and immediately began holding high-profile hearings on Iraq, and has since been the leading voice in crafting Democratic foreign policy.

Landmark Legislation

Joe believes violence against women is the ugliest and cruelest crime there is. In 1994, he authored the landmark legislation that helped set up shelters and a national hotline where women who are abused by husbands or boyfriends can get help. It also increased the court system’s abilities to protect women who are being stalked.

Results: The legislation has given hundreds of thousands of women a second chance and a way out. Since it passed, both domestic violence and incidents of rape are significantly down nationwide. To this day, this organization has brought more than $10 million worth of aid to victims and their families in Delaware.

For two decades, Joe Biden has been instrumental in crafting almost every major crime law. In 1994, the Biden Crime Law put more than 100,000 cops on America’s streets, and crime went down eight years in a row. The law requires communities to be notified when convicted sex offenders move into a neighborhood.
After President Bush slashed billions of dollars from federal crime-prevention assistance for state and local law enforcement, crime started going up again. In October of 2007, Senator Biden introduced the 2007 Biden Crime Bill, which will add 50,000 new local cops and 1,000 FBI agents to focus on local crimes.

You said in a previous post "Let's look at Joe Biden's record before he became Vice President". Obviously you were completely UNAWARE of Biden's transgressions. YES, plagiarism in college is a SERIOUS infraction that can result in expulsion from the university. The fact that he then plagiarized a speech from a British politician would indicate that this was not a one time lapse. Yes, lying about his college record during a PRESIDENTIAL campaign is also very serious. This in fact was what lead to Biden's decision to drop out of that race. I know this happened A LONG time ago, and that sometimes it is hard for people like you to know about things from such ancient history. But YOU did say we should look at Biden's record prior to the Vice Presidency, and that is what I did!

Now, to give you credit, you went into his pre-VP history and found some things that you thought put Biden in a POSITIVE light. GOOD BOY!! Here's a cookie! THAT is what good debating is about. THAT would be an appropriate response to my post. Again, GOOD BOY (pat on the head). If only you had JUST posted that!

BUT, when you post things like:

I wouldn't have to think very hard to come up with my choice: Spiro Agnew. Convicted of accepting over $100,000 in bribes, "Hatchet man" to Richard Nixon, staunch defender of the Viet nam war, disbarred for life and a man so patently horrible that his own running mate said "No assassin in his right mind would kill me because they would get Agnew (as President)."

I can only imagine he sits in hell at Lucifer's right hand.

some constituents recognize that obama/biden are NOT perfect. in fact, some of us find obama to be a stunningly average president in extraordinary times--but the whole problem with the national dialogue is that, in four years, somehow the republicans managed to turn out candidates who were FAR BELOW average, from religious nutbags like bachmann, perry, paul and cain, to religious hypocrites like gingrich, leaving us with someone who the right is lukewarm at best about because the evangelicals can't stand as they regard mormonism as a terrible heresy. yet somehow, instead of drifting to the center, he's lying about how moderate he is just to appease them, like a little boy trying to get his sick bully of an older brother to like him. (precisely what proposition 8 was, the pariah trying to earn acceptance from his demented peer who repeatedly expresses disgust for him). what a charming situation the right has left us in, either obama or one of the above. that's no choice for anyone who is remotely rational.
