What song is this to? The bear shark one?
I thought it was Evita, ha, but I can't recall the real song - or is it just that generic?

I realize SNL wasn't that great even when I watched it regularly (2000-2001 or so), but it wasn't this bad, was it? Ferrell was easily the highlight of the whole thing today. How did they manage to waste the comedic value of John C. Reilly in a Speedo?
I was strangely entertained by Harpoon Man, though, and the BearShark sketch was okay in the end. I guess I'm a sucker for arterial bleeding.
Please oh please let Hugh Laurie write some sketches for next week. Though judging by today's performances, I wonder if even those would be ruined in the execution.
Also, I hated My Chemical Romance. Made me glad I don't listen to the radio.
This has been your Cranky Old Codger Moment (R).

Plum - if that's what people my age are listening to, then I am also glad I do not listen to the radio.
Talk about art gone wrong.
I thought the episode was better than past episodes.

Posted: 10/22/06 at 10:19amPersonally, I determine how good an episode is by how much I laugh and I probably laughed more last night than I have this season. Even Update was better. However, I haven't laughed full out since the Natalie Portman ep. and the Narnia rap last year. But before that, geeze, it had to be in 1999.

Freckles..I am totally with ya. I actually laughed twice in last nights episode..more than I have in the other episodes this season combined.
And Nathalie Portman episode was great..very funny. Saw the rerun again last night..laughed A LOT!
I miss Tina so much on Update

Posted: 10/22/06 at 1:48pmUpdate really isn't the same without Tina. I missed Jimmy when he left, but I got over it because Tina had really good chemistry with Amy. But now that Tina's gone I guess I'll have to accept Seth.

Posted: 10/22/06 at 2:50pmI laughed. That's basically all I ask from a comedy show. I also thought Reilly was great in the drag sketch. I even like My Chemical Romance and that's a sentence I never thought I would type.
