The creator of Rumpole of the Bailey, as well as the screenwriter of the "Brideshead Revisited" miniseries, died this morning at the age of 85.

This week is devastating for losses in the creative world.

As a lawyer, RUMPOLE was one of my favorite characters. RIP, my learned friend.
