They never mention Law's performance in THE LOVE MACHINE. Sloppy journalism or merciful omission?

"He's movin' on ... he's Robin Stone..." Remember the Burt B. song warbled by La Warwick under the credits? And the ham sandwich of a movie, all cut up and reassembled so that it made no sense. Unlike his memorable turn with wings, in LOVE MACHINE he was supposed to be so seductive woman couldn't resist him, but he came across like an aging NAMBLA poster, alas.

A shame. Who'd have thought they could make a crappy movie out of a Jacqueline Susann novel?

Not much of an actor, but a very handsome man. I urge, implore, and beg all of you to check out DANGER DIABOLIK, a spy-actioner that not only rivals VALLEY OF THE DOLLS for sixties so-bad-its-good gooeyness, but was paid tribute to in the Beastie Boys "Body Movin'" video and the great, little-seen movie CQ.

Danger Diabolik
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

re: John Phillip Law (Barbarella's Pygar) Has Passed Away

he was also in Preminger's HURRY SUNDOWN alongside Jane Fonda, Michael Caine, Diahann Carroll and Faye Dunaway.

he was a last minute replacement for the role in THE LOVE MACHINE and he not only had to suffer from a bad script but also from wearing some ill fitting suits tailor made for the much shorter actor he was hired to replace.

i loved him in BARBARELLA and I agree that he was adorable in THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING, THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING.

When I see or hear his name, I think of The Golden Voyage of Sinbad. Danger: Diabolik was featured on MST3K, and I just saw him in The Cassandra Crossing which was shown on TCM.
