If you're talking about Avengers, you realize that's not "his," right? He had to use a much beloved IP with existing visual expectations (same reason why Jackson's liberties in Hobbit were frowned upon). Obviously you haven't seen Buffy, Angel, Firefly, the works that made him famous.
