Anyone else worried about what the jailing of Judith Miller means for the state of free press in America? Some other press outlets have suggested she refused to name her source to bolster her flagging career, but that strikes me as way too cynical an outlook. Martha Stewart, she's not. At any rate, link to the NY Times' own coverage is below.

I was actually worried for a long time about what her shilling for the Bush Administration meant for the freedom of the press.

In an odd bit of dark irony, I kept thinking of her today, with the world exploding and imploding, and her in jail -- a true expert on many of these issues (remember after 9/11? Before her association with the Chalabi machine) and being unable to watch the coverage.
