Blah blah blah predictable.
Wake me when it's Mary-Kate's turn.
Rath... wake-up.
Don't tease me, Mister.

At last Julie gets her due. I feared that she would again be egregiously overlooked.
Imagine the hissy!
she desserves it
There hasn't been a woman in the overall number 1 motion picture box-office position, since Julie held it in 1967! What's up with that?
That's just wrong.
It's all been men, since. Actually, a woman has only held the top spot, 12 times, and only by 6 actresses!
Shirley Temple (4 times)
Marie Dressler (twice)
Betty Grable (once)
Doris Day (twice)
Elizabeth Taylor (once)
Julie Andrews (twice)
And Shirley wasn't technically a woman.
Don't take that the wrong way.
Hey, JB2, Julia Roberts was actually number 1 in 1999.
That got me thinking, and I just posted a thread about the annual Quigley list of top money-making stars...
Actually, she wasn't. She was the number 1 female star. Not number 1, overall.
JB2, check out the full list I just posted on another thread...
She was #1 overall.
I'm pretty positive that Tom Hanks was Number 1 overall, in 1999. Julia has never been. She was Number 2 in 1999. I'll check out your list; but what is the source?
The source for the list I posted (and Julia at #1 in 1999) is the actual Quigley Publishing web site.
Do you think they would have their own list wrong on their own site?
I suppose it's possible, but doubtful, don't you think?
I'm so sure they're wrong, I'm going to write to them. Of course, it doesn't matter a bit; but I think their site should be correct.
Well, I do too!
Let's see if they change it. Do let us know.
Go JB2!!
