The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

I adore Much Ado. Great characters, something for everyone. Witty and cute.

Posted: 8/30/06 at 2:26pmA far better alternative to the oft chosed Midsummer Night's Dream in my opinion. Lots of opportunities for high comedy as well as one fairly devastating scene of rejection. Also, due to its wartime setting, the play works in a variety of time periods.

Much Ado is very funny and wonderful.
Beatrice is one of my favorite Shakespeare characters. (Right behind Celia from As You Like It)
