Marquise;
Tu sabes que you digo lo que pienso. ( as sick as it can be )
I think she was either just out here in SF, or is going to be....checking...checking...
nope...it was the 1/23/06 MTC benefit I had read about.
si yo se muy bien que tu no tienes pelos en la lengua...
dices lo que piensas sin pena ninguna....
pero es bueno ser asi...
te respeto
un beso muy grande para ti.
okay now i just found out Ms. Hart was a regular on the original "To Tell The Truth" game show and that Moss Hart wrote the books for both CAMELOT and MY FAIR LADY.
Well, did you miss the game show line in my post and do a google search?
i did a google search. but i did miss the game show line in your post.
don't no one kill me but i just found out that the nurse from Emergency! started out as a singer from another thread on this board.
LOL!
I thought maybe you just completely skipped over my post in fear that I was going to bring up SC again!
I loved Emergency! by the way...Julie was the hottest nurse ever.
I don't know if this link will work, since it's an archived article from the NYT, but a great artilce from June '04 comparing the experiences of Kitty Carlisle and Kristin C--two girls with songs in their hearts and big racks who came to make their way on B-way.
All we've got left are Kitty, Brooke and Lauren B. When they go, I leave town....
Kitty Carlisle and Kristin Chenoweth
Kitty also used to be a regular on What's My Line. At that time, she went by Kitty Carlisle. She was so glam.
Ok, now I'm getting hurt....did no one read my post? I mentioned the game shows...I swear I did!!
OMG justme2 I'm sooooooooooo sorry.
You were the first to mention the fact that Kitty appeared on those two game shows.
I just re-read your posts.
DAME and his salacious remarks threw me off there a bit.
I said I wouldn't talk about Sweet Charity anymore...(insert sob here).
Back to Kitty...I saw her in Night at the Opera, and she was very funny. When I checked IMDB to see if I had seen her in any other movie, I hadn't. Anyone else seen her in another movie? Was she better on stage or on film?
I beg your pardon. My remarks are not salacious.
She was in Murder at the Vanities (1934) with the Duke Ellington Orchestra and the campy song "Sweet Marijuana," which Bette Midler later recorded. I don't think Kitty sings the song in the movie.
I am giving this a bump. I wonder if DG is going.
I've said this in other Kitty Carlisle threads but can't help saying it again.
I got to meet her in the early 80s and she was a very kind star/lady.
She is like the energizer bunny - she keeps going & going

DAME - I'm JUST reading the thread, but I'm definitely checking into it!
Marquise - I love you honey, but sometimes I wonder where you've been . . . I know, I know - living it up in South Beach with all the other hotties. Well, poke your head into where we all came from, once in a while
Dame, I really hope you can report back to us on this show. I am still angry at myself for having missed her TWO shows at the Geffen last year, while You Can't Take It With You (written by her husband and directed by her son) was playing there!!!
Did you ever read about KCH as a child when in a cab I believe, The Driver asks (her Mother) if she is Jewish, Her Mother said "She might be but I'm not" - I was like "What kind of a Mother was THIS?!" She has lead an interesting life and is still going!
You ROCK Kitty, And that goes for your Pearls too!!

I just got tickets for her San Francisco show. She will be here for five nights. I also got tix for the return of Joan Rivers - gonna be a great year!
Justme - she is going to be at The Plush Room at the York hotel January 11th to the 15th. (415) 885-2800. Beautiful room - I saw Lorna Luft there on New Years Eve.
Thank you! I thought I had read that she was coming here!
I got my tix for Palm Springs. Just curious.. what time is curtain in San Fran? Here it is 4 pm. How weird.
She's OLD, Dame! You are lucky that curtain isn't at 11am, so she can get home for bed by 2pm.
Let me check for the times in SF...
