Playbill Online sez:
Minnelli said she is also working on a new album of songs by the famed actress, writer, singer and vocal coach-arranger Kay Thompson, who was Minnelli's godmother and Judy Garland's vocal guru. Thompson's vocal style was preserved in the Fred Astaire picture "Funny Face."
i hope she calls it "Think Pink!"

Posted: 2/10/05 at 9:58amI'm still hoping and praying that Ruth Williamson can get a one-woman show up and running in which she portrays Kay Thompson, someday - Ruth embodies Kay in such a way that it's almost scary - but fabulous!

I love "I Love a Violin"!
Kay Thompson (and her boys!) do a few numbers on a Milton Berle show that's out on DVD. It's worth getting even if you hate Milton Berle, because it's a rare opportunity to see her do what she did at places like The Persian Room.
The other special guest star on that episode is (my avatar) Delores Gray--and the two ladies do NOT seem to like each other at all!
