I just saw a commercial for this collection of Top 40 songs being sung by children, for children.

Are You Gonna Be My Girl?

Does this seem wrong to anyone else?

It was really weird to hear young voices singing "My Immortal".

But I think I was even MORE disturbed by the Jet song:
"But you were with another maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan"

We were just having that conversation in the Keaton household a few days ago. It's eerie. Why would kids want to hear kids singing adult songs... why not just buy the original CD?

I will NEVER forget one of the years I was working our booth (for Alley Theatre) at the Children's Festival in Houston. Our booth was right next to the karoake booth. I heard sooo many little girls singing "I'm a Slave 4 U" and other tawdry songs.

That is just WRONG.
What kinds of parents would allow their children to listen to this?
And what parents would let their children SING IT???

yeh..its wierd cuz i doubt you would even want your kids to HEAr those songs, let alone sing them on CD!!

I wonder if they actually sing "I need a hit"...
Maybe I should invest in this CD and play it around my friends for the shock value...

I almost bought it for the shock value as well.
I think it would be great remixed.

But I don't want to support this wierdness. That's something that I might be tempted to Kazaa.

I've seen commercials for it for the last year or two and it is really stupid. I know some people who actually bought it (their mom did) and they said it was a little disturbing.

There is most definitely something wrong with these CD's! I would seriously love to meet the genius who came up with this.

I think it is so hilarious! I just wish I was a kid so I could be on that CD. I hope they continue to make them for years to come. Like the NOW cds, that I bought in the beginning as a joke, but didn't feel nearly that amused when vol 335 came out
