This is the Canadian remake of a Joanna Lumley series from ten years back. I've only seen a few clips of the UK original that are on youtube--it seems very hard to find online--but Kim was apparently taken with it so much that she wanted to make her own version (and I'm sure Canadian TV being the ****hole that it is, nobody could say no.) She's in fine company, however--the writing is by Bob Martin from Drowsy Chaperone and Slings and Arrows, and her co-star and series director is Don McKellar, also from Slings and Arrows and other shows. I like it so far--it's very low key, but amusing and it's nice to see a show that shows how cold I found the Toronto experience which in Canada is often glamorized the way I imagine New York is. Is this airing anywhere in the US? Is anyone else watching?
My biggest complaint, after episode one (3 have aired,) what happened to the dog???

Netflix has both seasons from the Joanna Lumley series.
***spoiler alert***
In Season 1, Denis Lawson plays the husband. He must have wanted out of the series because in Season 2 he dies and Lumley's character goes to live on a houseboat.
Saw the commercials for the series, but don't get HBO. Just found it online:

Gotham, thanks--for whatever reason I never thought to check out Netflix for the original.
