My school is doing Kiss Me, Kate, for our spring musical. There will be a new director (who is my friend's mom- I know it will be great, she is so talented and so amazing; really experienced), new choreographer, and new musical director, as our old three quit earlier this year. (I don't know anything about the new choreographer or musical director, I hear they are ok..)

I know the basic storyline of the show, but was just wondering-- Can anyone give me a (somewhat) in-depth account of the show? Will it be relatively easy for a high school to do?
Breakdown of the male parts?

The director wants a 24 member ensemble (Harrison Howell, Paul, Hattie, Hortensio and Germio, and i THINK Harry Trevor and the two gangsters all will double as chorus.) Does that work? (I'm not a fan of big choruses; at our high school, and I would imagine at most, it's hard to get a cast of 30 really talented and dedicated kids.) Is too big/small for this show?

Thanks for the input:)!

The original Broadway production had at least that many. The show can be done with a smaller ensemble.
