Glebb - I think it would be wherever you were performing. Is that you in that new icon??
I think Positano - and Capri are heaven.
The Princeville on Kauai is magical.
Hard to choose just one...

It's Glebb as Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet. Isn't he amazing?
If I were that Juliet, I'd say, "Romie baby, here take this poison. I want me some of that Mercutio!"

Thanks for the compliments.
I guess I should keep this one up for a while then. :)

Glebb, please don't think I'm stalking you!
It seems that for the past few days I've been following you around the threads remarking on your beautiful pictures.
Thank you for sharing them.

awww, thanks.
I've been meaning to tell you that I recently did a study of the singable melodies in Petrouchka with the music director of my choral group. We're looking at doing a program on celebrating ballet through the vocal arts at Carnegie Hall next season.
Anyway, sorry to hijack your thread....

Petrouchka is an amazing ballet. I think it was Robert Joffrey's favorite and was certainly the finest product of the Diaghilev Ballet Russes. I was lucky to have seen Nureyev (by way of being on stage with him) dance it many, many, many times. :) Your Carnegie Hall season sounds great. Such an interesting idea!
Please don't worry about thread jacking. This vacation subject was actually a joke. :) I like topics that deal with Broadway and movies best.

Posted: 10/15/04 at 12:01amPetrouchka has always been one of my favorites. The Stravinsky score and the 'humanitarianism' of the study of puppet-like activities of the human being... There is so much to the ballet.
