Saw it at the cinema and loved it, bought on DVD today... amazing film. Anyone else like it?

I love it, but it kills me, my father and my uncle and my cousin were/are all fire fighters.

I bawled my eyes out. My whole family (including me) belongs to the fire department. Wonderfull movie though.

sorry kelrel. I think that's the beauty of the film though, it's every fire fighters story! It's what could happen etc... beautifully shot though and Jacinda Barret breaks my heart at the end.

it prpbably takes someone who has been around a firehouse for a long time to notice, but the guy on the bottom is wearing regular turn-out gear, with a probie helmet.

i'll trust you because i have no way of supporting or argueing as the fire uniforms are somewhat different to the English ones.

Bright yellow suits with white stripes. Black wellington type boots... not sure about the rest. One of my mates has just started his training so i'll have a word with him and see what i can find out. He got into trouble the other day lol. I don't think he's left the house wihtout styling his hair since birth and they're not allowed to wear any hair gel or wax etc. He put the tinyest bit on and got a telling off. Serves him right really but he does look well funny with his hair not done.

LOL!!! We have someone like that in our department.

We have the tan and yellow gear for regular members and the probie gear is black with yellow reflective. the probie helmets we use are either black new yorker helmets, or the round yellow ones like in the picture. regular helmets are new yorker style, and the plates say different things one them ("cheif" "past cheif" "EMT" "cadet" etc)

The uniform used to be black and yellow here... but they scrapped it for some reason. Helmets are yellow i think!

I personally prefer the probie gear... well, the way it looks anyway, not the hazing you get for having to wear it

I lvoe this movie. My friends gymnastics coach was one of the fire fighters, I forget which though.
