Last chance to catch me (Erika) in LA for a while...

Hi, guys -

As some of you know, I've been performing off and on at 88's Cabaret since the first show back in May of 2007.

Well, the next show is this coming Monday, February 18 at The Republic, 650 N. La Cienega Blvd, LA, 90069 310-360-7070

Cover charge is $15

Show time is 8:30pm

I'll be performing with lots of wonderful LA area singers (I'll be sure to post the list once it becomes available), and the theme this month is "OSCAR: A Tribute To Movie Music." Should be very entertaining!

After that, I leave for NY, and I won't be back until the end of May. Or, if things go well, it could be longer.

So, if you've been planning on coming to hear me sing and just haven't gotten around to it, or if you just want to come see me, hang out, and wish me luck on my trip, you should definitely come!

So, it's the last chance to see me perform, period, for a while.

wexy: Well, I'm sure we can do a get-together or something while I'm in town!

Miss P: Hooray! I hope she enjoys the show... I'm a little nervous, 'cause I'm going to have to come straight from Disneyland, after doing 9 sets (shows and storytelling sessions, about 15 mins. each, but very vocally taxing), so I just hope I don't fall down, exhausted! :-P

It reminds me of my great dream.....

I would have more money than God. Or maybe even Bill Gates. And I was going to open a cabaret - located up around Columbus Circle. I was going to hire the Cagelles (from the revival of La Cage aux Folles) as a permanent act and bring in guest performers for 1 or 2 week gigs. You'd be PERFECT.

(.... maybe in my next life)

Well, who knows? I'm going to be there for a while, so maybe something will come up while I'm in town!

You're awfully sweet, although I don't know how accurate your prognostication may turn out to be.

If I do get any kind of gig in NY, I hope you can fly out and see it!

(Of course, LA's an easier trip for you, now...)

Just wanted to post this pic someone snapped of me at the show on Monday. A great time was had by all, and it was a really wonderful "send off" for me personally!

Miss Pennywise: Did your friend make it? I hope she enjoyed herself - it was a great lineup and a packed house. I didn't sing my 2nd selection (my "big" song) until the very end of the night, so she may have already left at that point... If so, I'm bummed! :-P
