Laurie Metcalf Getting On Marathon before S #3 premiere

As we sing the praises of Laurie Metcalf, (In the thread about EarPiece Broadway), remember the 3rd season of Getting On starts tomorrow on HBO 11/8 at 10:00pm eastern. LM, Alex Borstein and lovable Niecy Nash are all really terrific in this show set in the "Billy Barnes" Senior Women's Ward of a big hospital. This show is funny and moving at times. Metcalf is superb.

Just so you can really appreciate this gem of a show, HBO2 is showing S1 and S2 today beginning at 2pm EST. The S3 premiere is on HBO at 10pm EST. I particularly like "If You're Going To San Francisco". Not to mention all the talk of Laurie Metcalf's Dr. James and her study of the different kinds of "excrement".

I just got around to watching last night's season premiere and this show really is a gem. It can be so funny and then so meaningful and thoughtful in the next three minutes. They've added Jonathan Silverman and Grant Bowler as new doctors. Also the music they use fits quite nicely in the theme of the episode. Watching Laurie Metcalf and Jayma Mays hiding I won't say where is hilarious.

Plus using an alternate version (other than JA), of "A Spoonful of Sugar", so poignant and funny. Check it out.
