to heat up to make it work? Awhile......I'd say for a regular sized one at least a half hour, and you are NOT supposed to leave them on more than 6hrs........can damage them

when you initially buy one it can take up to 2 hours for it to begin to work. when you use it regularly, it should work 20 mins after you plug it in.

I like watching them..I have one as a background wallpaper on my phone!

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

About a half hour after the first week of regular use. If you shake it at all, immediately turn it off otherwise the little pieces that break away will stay that way. And don't use it for more than 8 hours-- it'll lose its luster really quickly. Updated On: 9/14/05 at 11:09 PM
