I saw an interview with Mariska and they had disucssed the possibility of making Olivia pregnant but just couldn't come up with a a justification for it.

I'm just saying people get pregnant from having sex. Granted, I would think the character would be smart enough to use protection, but that doesn't always work. It would be an interesting 'real life' detail that could be put into a show that deals with 'real life' situations.

Mariska is gorgeous, and a wonderful actress. I hope she gets a role one of these days where can really show off her dramatic acting chops, like S. Epatha Merkerson got to do in LACKAWANNA BLUES. I could totally see HBO giving Mariska a role in one of their fabulous TV movies.

Wait... Wasn't it suppossed to be Marcia Gay Harden that filled in for Mariska? I know I read an article about it months ago.

But OMG! I love Connie Nielson. This will not be a difficult transition for me. The only thing that might make it better is for the two female characters to meet and decide that they were meant for one another. BTW, the pics of Connie on that link are HORRIBLE.

I apologize up front for this, but I've missed a LOT of SVU lately:

Why are Meloni and Hargitay working together less and less? I mean I like seeing them mix it up with Belzer and Ice-T, but was there a compelling reason to split them up on the show?

Sorry if this is old news, but I musta missed something?

the Character's relationship has become quite complicated, and olivia, in the last episode, after getting slashed in the neck, and realizing she was willing to let a small child die instead of Stabler, she asked for a new partner.

Well, they both kind of realized that. Stabler had a hard time deciding if he should leave her or go after the boy. The boy ended up getting killed. They were both put in pretty much the same situation and realized that they were both too important to each other.

I know it would kill the show, but I would love for them to get together. There is way too much underlying sexual tension.

The reason why Meloni & Hargitay don't appear in episodes together anymore is because it moves production along a lot quicker, as they can shoot two episodes at the same time, one with Meloni and one with Hargitay. It is not only a lot quicker this way, but a lot less costly; as we all know, time is money. This is the sole reason they do not appear as often in episodes together anymore. Any plot devices that the writers came up with are recent, and this separating of the two stars has been going on more and more for almost 3 years. You just may not have noticed it until now.

It's unfortunate, because the chemistry between the two is part of what has driven the show for the whole run, along with the excellent writing.

They are pulling a Mulder & Scully here. They'll get together in the end.

I just watched the ep (I had to DVR it) and it was rather intense. I love them together!

Regarding Pregnancy: I think it would have be very interesting to incorperate the pregnancy. Being a SVU officer pregnant/having a baby to take care of would be very interesting to watch (similar to Bailey on Grey's.)

Regarding Stabler and Benson: I think the sexual tension is there. But, if anything is acted upon the the shark will have been jumped. KEEP THEM APART. Everyone knows the tension is there. They know it. The whole team knows it. It makes it awkward. Like something like this would actually play out.

Remember when Olivia & Cassidy hooked up the the beginning?? That was unnecessary because there was never tension between the two. Thank God they got rid of Cassidy. He's a child and Olivia is a woman.
