Well, what do you know?!

It's a nice step in a positive direction... even if it has been (and will be) faced with some opposition.

I'm proud of my old home town.

Lawrence (and Douglas County) was always the one liberal "blue square" in a gieant sea of "red squares."

The rest of the state, on the other hand... won't be quite as happy with this ruling.
