First let me say I love me some Pierce Brosan. Have since"The Professonals" in the UK. Thats why i am so PO'd that he & Julianne Moore give good performances in such a poorly written film! In fact most of the performances are good (Parker Posey as a fashion designer wife of a rock star) But OY the writing! This could/should have been a His Girl Friday but instead its a total mishmash of styles and many of the jokes fall flat.( like a guy who looks like P.B. isn't gonna have the sex & the city gals chasing him NOOO he's gonna be a lonely slob!)
The man has such a deft hand @ comedy, why can they use him properly!!
OK rant over. Updated On: 5/3/04 at 05:35 PM

Yes, a poorly reviewed movie, I am going to rent it.

You are right.....Brosnan doesn't get enough credit and they DONT know what to do with him. I love Parker & Julianne, so I will (eventually) see this.

I saw the movie with a bunch of friends and it wasnt THAT great. It does follow the same formula of romantic comedies. First they hate each other, then they fall madly in love, then they have a small fight, that breaks things up, nd then in the end they come bak together nd live happily ever after!! thats how almost all these romantic comedies go these days. Its kind of depressing when you can predict the movie without seeing it.
