Getting use to toe pain (and foot pain in general) as a dancer never gets easier.
Where are you learning Swan Lake Act II? Who is teaching it?
Is it "after Petipa"? Actually his assistant Ivanov choreographed Act II because Petipa was ill.
Act II is quite beautiful and not that difficult unless you're one of the four little swans. That is tricky!

Some of the courtiers have a few moments too. There usata be a joke that went the wider the ballerinas smile the more her feet hurt! (

I know there have been some reworkings of 'Swan Lake' lately but a good ballet school should be teaching the traditional version(s), not taking the recent ABT version off of video.
Odile should be in Act III and it is a good idea for teachers to give 32 fouettes in class every day. :)
Act II is traditionaly one of two white acts. The corps work is fun and not too hard. The four cygnetts have a difficult and popular dance. The two big swans might be a bit of a challenge, but for the most part the corps of swans have fun steps.
