Lesley Stahl's hair

I have been wondering about this strange, eccentric blonde 'do worn by Ms. Stahl on 60 minutes for at least a year. What is is it, a weave? A strange wig? Extensions Ironed hair? Why would you chose -- in your late 50s -- a style that honestly looks like a mop; and one that distorts the shape of her head. I like Lesley, but I don't get it.
