Posted: 3/3/05 at 6:05pmHas anyone else seen this Geico ad that parodies OlD Navy? It makes me laugh every time cause it's so dead-on. The first few times I thought it was a real Old Navy ad.

Posted: 3/3/05 at 6:06pmI think it's clever. That and the "Reality" commercial with the Small house are two of Geico's best commercial's.
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive.
"Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot."
"No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one."
Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

I got excited, I thought it was a new reality show.

the Geico ads are great---and i much prefer them to the series with the green lizard (though some of those are fun, they seem to rerun the less effective ones). But lately i've been liking the very campy Burger King ads for the new bacon cheddar chicken ranch (with the cowboy theme). They look art-directed by Dave LaChappelle (sp?) or something. Really fun, and the song is quite clever.
Jack in the Box ads, which also try for camp humor, have lost their edge, however.
Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys.

Poor Darius, I hate that his career has gone to that level.
