Posted: 1/5/07 at 10:21pmI can't believe more people haven't been talking about Kazunari Ninomiya. His performance is a breakthrough in every sense of the word. Anyone else with me?

Posted: 1/6/07 at 12:33amI agree. He gave a wonderful performance -- truly the heart and soul of a great film. After seeing the movie, I looked up some info on him. It's funny that he used to be a member of a big Japanese boy band until a couple of years ago and hasn't been acting very long. I wonder if he speaks English because I'd love to see him in more major films. He's a very promising young talent.

Posted: 1/6/07 at 3:38pmI agree, touchme. Kazunari's performance moved me more than any other actor in the movie, including Ken Watanabe (who I still thought was excellent, as usual). I'm off to Google what major awards this cast has been nominated for/won. I expect they've received many accolades for best ensemble.
