Not a trick question lol I seriously just want to know if a mezzo can pull it off I mean, I watched the movie ages and ages ago, but can't recall if she has a killer note tacked onto the end of her songs, or some crazy operatic part.

I guess I should have specified "vocal" range. My bad.

Um...
I think almost anyone can pull the role off (singing-wise). The song doesn't go very high. Although she does have a weird scream sort of squeal at the end of the song that I always hated-- those who perform the part always try to do it like in the movie...it's just a very weird moment in the show...

Yeah, sorry 'bout that, I was having a bad day.
A mezzo can easily pull it off, her songs are pretty straight forward with not a lot of whistles and bells or high notes at the end. The "I'll depend on you" is the only moderatley tricky part I can think of.

I played her about 3 years ago. The vocal part is extremely easy. Really, there is just about nothing difficult about it. Even the "ahs" in the Sound of Music are easy. I think just about anyone could sing it.
