Linda Tripp on Larry King

Since my own mom died of the awful disease, I am glad Linda Tripp is a breast cancer survivor. May she live another 50 years, happily remarried to her childhood sweetheart. But may she go away to do it---way away. The King show giving her an entire hour to re-assert her strident case against the Clinton admin as a self-less act of patriotism ("I'm an independent, never a Republican!") and how wronged she was in the aftermath really made my bile rise. I was hoping the whole thing would slip away again, but no, the news shows today all showed clips. She's news? Pu-leeze. This woman has so over-mined her Warholian 15 minutes.
The next time I see her smug puss venting about morality, it had better be on Comedy Central, a re-run of John Goodman playing her on Sat. Night Live.

I just think of the time SNL had John Goodman call in as Linda the time Monica was on the show. "What's that noise on the line, Linda? Are you taping me again?"
"No, people are throwing things at the phone booth as they drive by me."
Precious. Perfect.
