A Lion Among Men, the 3rd book in the Wicked chronicles authored by Gregory Maguire, is being released on October 14th. Having devoured all things Oz since a small child, I am quite excited about this. Here is amazon link which has preview letter by Gregory Maguire:

I have just glanced at the first 10 pages or so which are all timelines and family trees. Very, very interesting (and proves that Maguire knows Baum's Oz).
Ozma's family tree is represented and includes Pastorius as father. Also gives her the surname of Tippetarius (Tip).
Also included is a brief outline of the "throne ministers of Oz." Includes short summaries of rulers of Oz including Ozma's disappearance, Wizard ascent to the throne (uses Baum's name for him--Oscar Diggs, etc...)
Really worth checking out-- at least for these timelines, outlines, and family trees. I am finding it fascinating.
