I will always remember him as the lovable eccentric Grandpa Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and King Pellinore in Camelot.

And Pellinore in "Camelot," too. He was younger than I thought, younger than Dick Van Dyke even.

Best, he was in the disappointing production of Pygmalion with Peter O'Toole in the 80s.

Oh my gosh...I can't believe I feel this horrified, but whoa... Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was my childhood, and he was always my favorite character. His younger sister goes to my church, and I've always bragged about that to people who didn't care. R.I.P.
